TMS 298
With the advent of my growing digi-image collection, it's been awhile since I've actually used stamps. I forgot how much I like the smell of my stamp cleaner (sniff, sniff!) I needed a "manly" get well soon card and this is about as manly as my get well stamp collection gets! Oh well, the inside will give him a laugh.
I'm using the sketch from over at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I loved the layout but looking again now, I just noticed that I forgot the embellishments at the top. Oops. It will be cheaper to mail without them anyway.

SSW2-Patti's Creation
April is almost over, can you believe it?!! My boys are sooo ready for school to be over! The oldest announces how many days are left in the school year every morning at breakfast. Not gonna lie, I'm kinda ready for the relaxing days of summer too.
Today is also time for another challege over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog. We are having a bit of a retro sketch from Arlana. I was not on the team the first time this sketch was used so it was brand new to me. I loved it.
This week we are sponsored by Pattie's Creations. I used her "Butterfly" this week. She's giving 2 free images to our winner. Here's a bit more about Pattie:
I am an Internet
Technology Professional and an Artist. I always dreamed of being an
artist, but I found out quickly that I needed another field to
support my family so I pursued a Degree in Information Technology. I
love to use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks to enhance my
work. I know have a large selection of images to fit everyone’s
needs.

Wine and a bit of whine: FTH #107
The hubs has been gone 2 weeks tomorrow. Not gonna lie, I miss him. OK, some things are a wee bit easier, we've been flying fast and easy with dinner. The boys and I have had breakfast for dinner for the last five days. Who doesn't like omelets and pancakes?!! That will end once "Dad" returns!
I'm joining in the From the Heart sketch challenge this week as well as Jeannie's Wine challenge over Dragonfly Journeys. Hop on over to her blog and check out the challenge. It's soo easy to play. My stamp is a From the Heart birdbrain but can you guess that the sentiment is Stella's? I love Bugaboo.

Stella Says Sketch 308
Can I just say that I look exactly like this bird today ... clutching my coffee and wishing desperately for the end of the day!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, you never realize how much your partner does to keep the household going until he is gone. I think I'm even too pooped to read and THAT is saying something!
I'm entering this guy in a few challenges. The sketch comes from the Catch The Bug Challenge.
I'm also entering Creative Card Crew's use a sentiment challenge as well as the coffee challenge over on Dragonfly Journeys. My color palette comes from the Color Throwdown. I LOVE this site.

SSW2-52: Dilly Beans
Happy Wednesday.
I wanted to show you my drive this week. Now before you yell at me for using my phone while driving, I was stopped. I had paused to allow a deer to move out of the way (which is why I grabbed my phone in the first place ... he was HUGE) but ... he hustled out of my way. Sadly, I didn't get a picture of him. No sign of Spring here yet but soon I think!
We have some fun for you this week over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog. Megan Suarez from Dilly Beans is returning as our sponsor. I love her fun images. This week I'm using River Framed.

FTH Progressive - April
Hey look at me being all organized and everything!
It's only April 15th and I've already finished using the image from the progressive challenge over at From the Heart. The new image is called Hamlet Pigwit Being Shy. He's a cutie and definitely allows me to use one of my favorite card colors: pink!
I'm using the FTH sketch 105 and to be honest, this card DID come together pretty fast so it satisfies their "Quick Card twist."
Not to be a pessimist, but as a result of being so organized this month, I've no doubt forgotten something else major in my life!

SSW2-51: DigiStamp Boutique
Welcome back to another Wednesday challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog. This week we have another sketch and the return of a favorite sponsor: Sally-Ann from DigiStamp Boutique.
This week I chose to use Alistair. How cute is he? Sally-Ann is offering our winner a
£10 voucher to her store. You will find LOTS of great stuff in her store!

Does this Dragon-Fly?
Absoluuutely!
OK, prolly time for an explanation!! My friend and former team mate, Jeannie, opened up a brand new challenge over on her blog: Dragonfly Journeys. I had to participate to support her but the first challenge? ... make something with a dragonfly.
Can you believe that of the 10 BILLION stamps and digi images that I own, I don't have a single dragonfly? I thought I had one but when I looked, it was a butterfly. Sorry Jeannie, I am not a huge fan of bugs!! Ace here will have to fill in this week.
I am using the sketch over at the Digi Sketch Challenge. I rotated the sentiment to the top, I just thought it looked better. I am also entering it in the High Hopes: Anything Goes challenge for April.

TMS 295
My son is working on his elemental "Wanted" poster for Science class. He chose Salt as his element.
"Ooo, we could make it look like an old-timey Wanted poster with bullet holes in it. And we could age it by cooking it in the oven and then burn the edges," I told him getting all excited about my ideas.
"WE," he said in his snarkiest voice (the ones that only teens and pre-teens have) "aren't doing anything like that because I'm pretty sure that the point of this project is to give information NOT to make it decorative."
Whatever dude.
So I took my creative self downstairs and made this card. I'm using the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I'm also entering it into the Catch the Bug: April "Anything Goes Challenge."
I still think my ideas would have been cool.

SSW2-50: ADFD
Happy Wednesday!!
As most of you
probably know by now, that means that it's time for another sketch
challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.
This week's sketch
was so fun and worked perfectly with the image that I chose from our
sponsor, Tammy from A Day For Daisies. My image is called “CuteFairy Waiting.” I suppose that it's a Valentine's image but I liked it so much that I grabbed it even though Valentine's Day has passed.
This week your
winning card could win you $12 to spend in Tammy's store. Remember,
in addition to posting your card, you must also comment on the Sweet
Sketch blog to be eligible. I hope that you will join in.

Turn On the Blue Light
And I'm not talking K-mart here.
It's April 2nd and that means it's time to go blue for Autism Awareness. This is a cause near and dear to my heart because it is something that my family struggles with every day. My kiddo's different abilities amaze me every day. He is going to be an awesome adult even with his struggles. I encourage you to click the link here to find out more from the Autism Speaks site.
I'm using one of the new From the Heart birdbrains. I'm using their theme of bling, rather than the sketch this week.
I'm also entering the following challenges:
CCEE Stampers: National Humor Month
Aud Sentiment: Anything Goes + a sentiment
and the Sweet Sunday Sketch #262

SSW2-DeeDee Designs
Yikes April already!
The boys and I took off for Spring Break last week. We drove to Arizona to see family and enjoy their warmer weather. We all LOVED wearing shorts and were shocked driving back home to a snow storm over the mountain passes. It was a big reality check!
Here are my goof balls hanging out at the Grand Canyon ... sooo pretty and worth a trip.
But today is also Wednesday so that means it's time for a challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. We have a new sketch AND a new sponsor: Deedee's Designs. Deedee is offering our winner $15 to spend in her shop! Lots of good stuff; I encourage you to have a look.
We hope that you will join us this week.
