OBG: Oh Nuts, It's Past Your Birthday

Yep.

I forgot another birthday.  I have them written on the calendar (2 calendars if you count the one on my phone) and yet, I still managed to miss the birthday of one of my buddies from High School.  Geez.  Fortunately, he's a pretty low-key guy.

Since I was making a "boy" card, I needed to keep it as manly as possible.  This little squirrel from the Bugaboo shop definitely fit the bill.  For more Oldie But Goodie images, check out the Catch The Bug blog.

Saturday Challenge: Bingo!!

SATURDAY!! (insert deep sigh of satisfaction!)

In addition to the relaxation, it also means there is another challenge on the Catch The Bug blog.  Since it's the third week of the month, that means it's time for BINGO.  I think I love Creative Bingo almost as much as I love the challenge of a sketch!  This month's Bingo board was super fun.  I chose to do the top vertical row: using sparkle, stitching and a sentiment.
Yep, another Christmas card!  This time I'm using the Bugaboo image: Winter Kidz With Cat.  So cute.  I will say that when my youngest saw the card he was a bit scornful of my choice to give this cute guy a purple scarf and hat ... "No BOY would wear purple voluntarily!"  Whatever, I stand behind my design choices.

Why don't you join in the fun?!!

SS 514: Di's Digi Stamp Shop

Welcome back to another challenge over on the Sketch Saturday blog.  This week we are sponsored by Di's Digi Stamp Shop.  Our winner will receive a $12 voucher to her shop which is pretty awesome.

I have to admit that this isn't my first card with this sketch.  About halfway through the first card, I had an idea that the sketch would be perfect to make a shaker card so of course, I had to remake the whole thing. It's not a crisis, I need a ka-billion Christmas cards anyway!

Come join the fun!

See ... it IS better as a shaker card!

Friday Freebie! Graduation Mouse

Just in the nick of time, there is new free image over on the Bugaboo site!  I needed 2 graduation cards and this little guy is just so perfect (and did I mention that he's FREE today?!!)

Head on over to the Catch The Bug blog to see what everyone else did with the image.

Diet Tips

I love these two silly girls.  Not only are they super fun to color, they also have some pretty good diet tips to pass along too ... like their suggestion to try drinking a pitcher of margaritas to see if that helps!!  Lucy and Trudy are an older Art Impression set but still relevant!

Today, in the midst of my many loads of laundry, I found time to join the challenge on the AI blog: "Playing Dress Up"

SSS: No Tinsel Tangles Here

There is a new sketch challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog.  Stella wants to see some rectangles!  Since I'm behind in my Christmas card production, I immediately thought of Gertrude to fill the need.  She is such a hoot!  There are LOTS of funny images over on the Bugaboo site.

I may need to look at this card MANY times during the month of December.  I get so wound up during the holidays ... like anyone is going to care (but me) that the decorations aren't matching!

(deep sigh, and repeat after me) Christmas isn't meant to be stressful!!

Oldie But Goodie: Bugaboo

It's Thursday and that means it's time for another card made with an Oldie but Goodie digi-image from Bugaboo.  This week I'm using an image from the Kidz line: Ice Cream.

This brings me back to a time when I loved wearing Mary Jane shoes (now I'm more of a Kicks/Van girl) and when eating ice cream wasn't forbidden (ugh, diabetes!)

In case you haven't heard the news, Bugaboo has a Facebook page for sharing ideas and getting free stuff.  Click this link if you want to join in the fun!

Sarah's Graduation!

We are back from Utah.

Surprisingly, no one died in our car packed to the brim (yeah, I overpacked, sorry Kelsey!) We had snow outside and clothes, stinky shoes, 3 kids under 9, a teenager, and 2 very frazzled moms inside.  It was amazing to see my niece graduate with an RN degree.  I am beyond proud of her.  I am soo lucky because all my nieces are super successful and genuinely NICE people.

Challenges:
Art Impression: Winged Things
Freshly Made Sketches: The sketch
Dragonfly Journeys: Just Add Sequins.
