SSS: We Wish You a Sketchy Christmas

Ho Ho Ho!!

It's time for the 2nd challenge in the Season For Awkward Holiday Chaos!  Today we want you to follow Stella's sketch challenge to make a project.  Easy-Peasy!

I'm using one of my favorite Bugaboo images: the Christmas Trio Block.  I loved it so much that I segmented the blocks into individual images so I can resize them and use them together or apart.  It was like getting 4 images for the price of just one.

The Awkward Holiday Chaos runs from Saturday, December 1 - Friday, December 7.  If you make a project or card for each challenge, and post it on the Catch The Bug blog, you have the chance to be a winner.

Yes, you read correctly,  a weeks worth of challenges and LOTS of prizes to be won!!  Why don't you join in the fun?

SSS 614: Dear Santa

There is a new sketch challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog.  Stella wants you to use up all the scraps of paper in your stash ... I've got PLENTY of those!!

I decided to use this darling image that I already had colored!  This is Candy Cane Mouse but there are LOTS of other fantastic Christmas images over on the Bugaboo site.

Happy Tax Day to my American friends ... blah!  But the better news is that there is a new fun challenge over on the Catch The Bug Challenge Blog.

I'm using an image from the Bugaboo set Birthday Unicorn 02.  This fun set has three images and one sentiment.  I don't know what I love more about this guy, the goofy expression on his face or the balanced hat on his horn!!

My card uses the darling image: Heart Cats.  It's totally cute and this image makes for a fast card ... which is always a benefit to me with my now limited crafting time.

Stella Says Sketch: Be Naughty

I dropped the ball ... here it is Monday and I'm only now posting my card for the SUNDAY Stella Says  Sketch challenge.  Yikes.  I'm blaming the craziness of the Christmas season for my oopie.

It's our last sketch challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog and it's a fun one.

I combined two Bugaboo images to create this card.  I'm using JJ Ornaments and then sentiment for the Stella Christmas image.

I'm pretty excited because I've finished my Christmas cards.  $44 and a trip to the post office later, I can officially say that they are IN THE MAIL!  Woot woot.

Christmas Chaos: Stella Says Sketch

It's Sunday and time for a new sketch over on the Catch The Bug blog.  The sketch is a good one so I'm certain to use it again.

My project uses the Bugaboo image: Moose Ornaments ... it's also a "good one!" that I use over and over again.

Stella Says "Happy New Baby!"

It's Sunday and time for a new sketch challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog.

This fortnight I'm using the darling Bugaboo image: Bentley - On The Inside.  It's hilarious and the perfect image for a new baby.  Yep, baby Raylee arrived a tad early so I SUDDENLY needed a "welcome baby" card ASAP.  This image was so quick to color that it really fit the bill.

It's time for another sketch on the Catch The Bug blog.  This fortnight, I'm using the image: 2 Snowman.  It's another darling image from the Bugaboo digital image store.  This cutie is only $1.50 ... so cute and soo inexpensive!

There is another great sketch this time.  Super flexible; I will definitely use this one again.

Sadly ... this has become the case.  When did I get so many wrinkles?!!  Getting old stinks.

Free Time ... Yay!!

I've had NO time for fun these last two month and before I start studying for the next item on my list, I thought that I would squeeze in a few cards.

I bought this paper specifically for this image ... how sad am I?  OK, but look ... they both have unicorns on them.  How matchy-matchy and perfect is THAT?!!  Totally worth it.

Today I'm avoiding the piles of laundry that need folding by crafting (I say that like it's a surprise that I'm avoiding the laundry pile!)  I still need a few birthday cards so I decided to join in the sketch challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog.  I DO like a good sketch.

More Cards ... Really, I Suck at Housework

It suddenly occurred to me that other people (you know, other than me) would be celebrating Mother's Day and I thought, "hey" ... maybe I ought to send cards.  Yikes.  I suddenly need 6 cards to send out.  So here is one ... five more to go.

I used the sketch over on the Catch The Bug site.  I also used this new Bugaboo image.  Super cute!

And then, my hubby's friend at work at a heart attack over the weekend.   (insert ANOTHER "yikes" here!)  Fortunately he got to the hospital in the nick of time so he will be fine. But suddenly we needed a card for him too.  I used the "Interactive" theme over on the Pile It On blog.  I love the little "chill pills" in the shaker part of the card.  It is soo fun to make shaker cards!

I've been under the weather for the past few days.  Colds on the weekend are the worst!  Today was the first day I felt well enough to head back to the gym.  On my way, I was trying to convince myself why I shouldn't go but I just kept driving.  Finally I arrived and just went in for the class.  Yay me.  I'm a little sore but I'm glad that I went.

I spent the rest of the day catching up on cleaning and finally allowed myself a bit of play time.  I joined in the sketch challenge on the Catch The Bug Challenge blog. 

I have elements of the sketch but I kept changing it a bit until my card was quite different than the sketch! (like my image was too big to fit in the middle like it was supposed to and my secondary rectangle was supposed to have scallops but doesn't)  Oh well.  It's still a cute card.

Bee Strong, Little Grasshopper

Oh my gosh, I had such a great time with this month's challenge from Gerda Steiner.  This image is soo stinking cute and was EXACTLY the card I needed to send my buddy who is still fighting cancer.

I'm using the sketch from the Catch The Bug Challenge this week.  I DID add an extra stripe ... it just looked better with five stripes rather than four.

President's Day Means Crafting!

I got a few cards done yesterday during our holiday.  We had planned to do a bunch of fun kid activities (Goony Golf and a movie) but everything was canceled due to the oldest getting a cold.  But having time to just relax and craft was fun too.

I'm using the sketch from the Catch The Bug Challenge blog.  It made a cute birthday card.  I used Jodie's Bacon In The Sun image.  My second card used the sketch over on the Sunday Stamps Weekly Challenge.  I'm using the Gerda Steiner image, Llama Tell You.

Valentine's Day Gerda Progressive

As I sit here, writing this post, I'm watching my dog eat.  She has an iffy stomach so in addition to the pills I give her each morning, I also sprinkle a probiotic powder on her food.  Apparently it tastes quite good.  So as I watch, she is sucking the probiotic off the dry food and spitting the pellets out.  (Sigh) No wonder my kitchen floor is never clean.

In crafting news, I am using this month's Gerda Steiner progressive image.  He's a little cutie.  I know that I look that happy eating chocolate too.  Because I used her image, I will get next month's image absolutely FREE!  It's not too late to join in.

I'm also using the sketch over on the  Catch The Bug blog.  As I look at the sketch, I just noticed that I left off an element.  Oops.

Oh Diet Coke ... Wherefore Art Thou?

I've given up soda because my nutritionist says that there is "absolutely nothing of nutritional value in it."  I'm trying to lose 40 more pounds and all the fitness gurus say that 70% of weight loss is diet choices.

Unfortunately I miss my soda.

A lot.

So I'm trying to distract myself from its absence by making cards.  It's not really working ... did I mention how much I miss Diet Coke?!!

How fabulous is this paper? I need a birthday card for one of my nieces and THIS paper said it all!

I'm using the Blast From The Past sketch over on the Catch The Bug blog.  It was perfect for this card.

I'm also using one of my favorite Doodle Pantry images.  It's called Beary Cute Color plus.  I love it because it comes in both the line art and the pre-colored.  I'm running short on time, so I used the pre-colored.

Stella Says Sketch 419

I don't know about you but getting up this morning was ugly.  I bribed my body into going to exercise class by promising it a LARGE latte (I've been cutting back to a grande since I learned that my favorite drink is 290 calories - yikes!)  I made to kickboxing but only just barely.
