SSW2-129: Cute As A Button

Happy Wednesday.

Can you believe that January is almost over already?  Yikes.  I know that time passes quicker for adults but seriously ... this is ridiculous!

Today is also the start of a new challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.

This week we are sponsored by Cute As A Button. I've used her image Birthday Gift for my card.

Come join the fun.

NR: Clyde

Jodie from Bugaboo has a new image in her store.  It's Clyde and he sure is a cutie ... perfect to use in your Valentine's Day cards.

The first time I colored him, I wasn't in love with the yellow so I made a second card with pink and liked him much better.

Hurry on over and grab this guy!

SS: A Day For Daisies

Good Morning Saturday Sketch Fans

It's another Saturday and that means it's time for a new sketch over on the Sketch Saturday blog. This week we have Tammy from A Day For Daisies as our sponsor.  Tammy is providing our winner a voucher for $12 to use in her shop.

I'm using one of my older (and sadly retired) ADFD images: Mr. Snowman.  It's such a cutie, and makes for a quick and easy Christmas card.  Only 64-ish more Christmas cards to make (blah)

Please check out the rest of the DT's creations and give them some love.

Oldie But Goodie

I needed a manly birthday card for my nephew.  He is one of the greatest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing ... kind, hard-working, and a great father to boot.  So happy birthday Andrew.  I hope your day is wonderful.

I used one of my favorite Bugaboo images.  It's from the Under The Sea Birthday set.  It's so darn versatile that it has become a staple in my folder of printed images.  This little cutie works for both genders!

Hop on over to the Catch The Bug blog to see some more cards using Oldie But Goodie images.

I'm also joining in the fun over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog.  I loved their sketch as well as the "red" theme on the Dragonfly Journeys blog.

Valentines

I'm making some Valentines (I need 8 more).  This is the one that I made for the hubby.  It's funny but I wasn't really paying attention to the details and made a few mistakes.  Grr.  I hate when I'm taping quickly and then have to peel it up to make it straight.  It always bends the paper a bit (see the bulging on the slider panel) and then ... I didn't really check to see that my sentiment would work prior to taping.

The answer is no ... it is not working.  You can barely read it.   The mousie's tail kind of covers it.  Sigh.  I am a better crafter than this.  Oh well, he knows how I feel.

My second Valentine's card is cute, but again ... I would change some things.  I think it looks too plain.  At least the stamps are cute.

Do you ever have days when nothing looks right?

January Bingo

It's time for the monthly Bugaboo Bingo Challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog.  Using the bingo card, your challenge is to create and post a project that fills one row.  I used one of the diagonal rows: blue, player's choice - I did sewing, and ribbon.

This month, I found that I needed 3 sympathy cards.  They are not my favorite kind of card to make but unfortunately they are a necessity.

Jodie has a section in her store with block images that make for quick cards.  This image is called FIG It'll Be OK

Birthday Bash: Humor Me With Cupcakes

Welcome back to another challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog. Today we'd like to see your bold and bright (and funny) creations WITH a cupcake.  It can be done!

My card features not one, but two Bugaboo images.  I created a party on the farm using Pig Cupcakes and Happy Birthday To Ewe.

Join in the fun to get GREAT prizes!
