Paper Play Sketches 19
It may not look like it, judging by this card, but I spent my morning carving out the guts of 5 pumpkins. I love pumpkins and making them into jack-o-lanterns but I do NOT love cleaning them out. Blah. I think I'm off spaghetti for awhile.
I had some time yesterday to ink up my Tim Holtz, Crazy Dog set. Love the goofy expressions on this dog and I thought that he would be perfect for the sketch on the Paper Play Sketches site.
SS: Cold Twigs
Happy Saturday!!
Eek, it's the end of the month. Are your little monsters ready for the big haunt on Monday? Mine aren't; they can't decide what to be. It's kind of a bummer that Halloween is on a Monday night. Blah. Tuesday morning (and school) will NOT be fun!
But in other news, it's time for a new challenge over on the Sketch Saturday site. This week we are sponsored by one of my very favorite people. Jodie from Bugaboo. Her snarky images are fabulous! This week I chose to celebrate not Halloween but Christmas (and my image is more sweet than snarky!)
Because it's the end of the month, it's choose your own sketch week. You can use anything from #215 forward. Come join the fun!

SSW2-101 A Snowy Christmas
Welcome back. It's another Wednesday and we have a brand new challenge over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.
This week we are sponsored by Megan Suarez of Dilly Beans. I'm using her image: Heart Snowman.
Since I'm still a bit light in the number of cards that I have for the holidays, I made two cards. I only changed a few things but they do look quite a bit different.
I hope that you will join in the fun.

Seriously Sick of Making Christmas Cards ...
I'm spending our time off from the routine of school in the craft room.
I'm trying to use all off the pre-printed images that I have. This little cutie is from Dilly Beans. They are such fun to color. I'm experimenting and trying to give texture to the images using darker colors and my white pen.
I'm using the sketch from Try Stamping On Tuesday blog. I rotated the sketch to fit my image but I DO like how the card turned out.
My next card is using a Bugaboo image and the sketch from the Stella Says Sketch site.
I made the card a square but pretty much stuck to the sketch to finish the card (kinda unusual for me!)

Cranking Out Christmas Cards
I just got a MISTI.
For those of you not in the know, it stands for Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented and those suckers are kinda expensive. But ... it will probably pay for itself in paper. I used only ONE piece of paper to stamp this image. Seriously ... a major miracle!
How cute is this guy? It's from Art Impressions and the sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches.
My second card features an image from Bugaboo and uses the sketch from the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. I flipped the sketch and then made the squares a tiny bit bigger! I have 28 more cards to make. I think I can!

DP: Tuesday Throwdown
Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over on the Tuesday Throwdown blog. Their theme is "festive pumpkins." I know, it's a stretch using an image with pie to join in but I figure it works because the pie is pumpkin and I know that I'm always festive when I'm EATING pie!!
I'm using TWO Doodle Pantry images for this card. One is Pumpkin Pie Ants and the sentiment comes from the Pumpkin set. Come join the fun.

DP: Love To Scrap Challenge Blog
I know.
It's another card with snowmen! It will probably come as no surprise to learn that I have three more snowman cards coming your way!! I can't seem to help loving silly snowman images.
These crazy snowmen are exception; they are from the Doodle Pantry set "Snowman Pile-up." Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the challenge over on the Love To Scrap Challenge blog. I hope you have time to join in the fun.

SS 434: Big Bear Hugs
Happy Saturday!
It's time for another Sketch over on the Sketch Saturday blog. We have a new sketch for you and the return of Robyn's Fetish for our sponsor.
This week I used Robyn's "Big Bear Hug Bobby" for my card. I need a baby card because I will, again, be a GrAunt (great aunt). One of my favorite things is calling my hubby, "Gruncle Ken" and then watching his wince ... what a great name! Grumpy Uncle Ken, Great Uncle Ken ... either name works!! But anyway, as of December there will be a new baby in our family! I'm pretty excited.
Stop on by the blog, and join in the crafting fun this week!

Gerda Steiner: October
I just spent yesterday inventorying our glove and hat situation. How can we lose ONE glove (but only one!) of nearly every pair of mittens and gloves that we own?!! Unbelievable! Apparently I will be buying more soon.
This little guy is the October freebie over on the Gerda Steiner blog. If you haven't joined in the fun yet, just purchase this guy: cold hedgehog and make something with him. Next month you will that month's image for free. Cool beans!
I'm also joining in the color challenge over on Dragonfly Journeys

Creative Knockouts and Doodle Pantry
Good Morning!
Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the new challenge over on the Creative Knockouts blog. Their theme this week is THANKFUL. I'm using the Doodle Pantry set: Goose Me to express my thanks.
I'm also using the sketch from the Tuesday Morning Sketch site. Cute sketch this week.
We hope you will join in the fun this week.

SSS 415 among other things
I'm banging out some of my October requirements today. In between trips to the vet, post office, grocery shopping, laundry and all the other things on my "To Do" list, I managed to finish 3 cards. Here are two of the cards, and I'll show you the third on Thursday.
This little cutie is the image given to us by Dea for our monthly image swap. It's a Penny Black image called Snowy. It's already headed off to Tracie.
My next card is to celebrate my neighbor's 20th anniversary. I used the sketch over on the Catch The Bug Challenge. While I absolutely adore my image with Stella and Gus; I do NOT love the colors on the card. I was trying to match the color of Gus' shirt. I don't think it looks celebratory at all -- more like an upset stomach! Sigh ... sometimes creativity is hard!
Thanks for stopping by; I'm off to do more laundry to do!

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the new challenge over on the Pile It On blog. Their challenge is to create and link a card with sparkle, shimmer and BLING.
Today I'm using the set: Magnolia. We hope you will join in the fun this week.

Doodle Pantry AIMP
There are only 86 days until Christmas. Can you believe it? I just thought I'd mention it because one of my friends announced at lunch yesterday that she is done with her shopping. It just seems unnatural (I say in a jealous voice) But I'm not showing you a Christmas card; I made a card for my SECOND favorite holiday. Yay, Halloween!
And ... I just noticed that this is the second card I made using this orange paper. I must REALLY like it. Yay for being old and forgetful!
But I didn't forget that today is the first of the month. That means it's time for the monthly Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge over on the Doodle PantryBlog. As always, it's an anything goes challenge. Remember, you must use a digital image to win.
I'm using the Doodle Pantry set, Candy Corn Ants COLOR.
I'm also participating in the Mojo Monday sketch. What a versatile sketch.
SS432: Best Fishes On Your Birthday
Good Morning Peeps.
It's Saturday and that means it's time for another challenge over on the Sketch Saturday blog. We have a fun new sketch and the return of a favorite sponsor: it's Samantha from Sami Stamps. Our prize this week is a voucher for $12 to use in the Sami Stamps Etsy shop.
I'm actually using a Christmas stamp for my card. The image is called Mistletoe Mermaid, but she works beautifully for a Birthday card too.
Please check out the rest of the DT's creations and give them some love. I hope you will give the sketch a try!
