It's Wednesday (tho frankly it feels like Tuesday ... these 3-day weekends throw ALL my days off!)
I hope you had a lovely holiday. We did; spent much of the weekend in Denver going to kid-stuff. We did the Denver Butterfly Pavilion and got our bug on. They have lots of bugs: spiders, cockroaches (shudder) and of course, butterflies to see and handle. Fun place.
Since it's Wednesday (really, it is) it's time for another challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Our sponsor is A Day For Daisies. We have a throw-back sketch this week but ... there is a twist. Your card must have purple on it!
I used the image Fairy Dog 3 for my card. Cute image. You can find him and many other fun ones over at the ADFD shop. There is a $12 prize to use over in the shop this week! Lots to choose from.
We hope you join in!
Absolutely adorable Joanna!! Normally I would have cruised right by this image, but now that I see it on your sweet card, I must put it on my wish list! Love the sketch flipped too...you're so clever!!!

This is such a cute card, love the image. My next door neighbor had dog like this ( minus the wings) one liiked like a black lab. When we were checking out our house I saw the dog next to my husband and said oh look the neighbors dog is laying down right next to my husband ....I looked again and then said wait I think the dog is standing, it was... he had such short legs they got lost in the grass and it looked like he was laying down! It was so funny.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great holiday, looks like you had a fun time!

Spectacular take on the sketch. I'm not a purple person, but this card has inspired me. Fun image which you brought to life with fabulous coloring!
ReplyDeleteOh Joanna such a cute card, I love the use of purple on your card and your pretty embellishments. So glad you had a lovely holiday break, it's funny I hate anything flying around me eg BIRDS because I hate feathers, I can handle butterflies and bugs not a problem. You asked about my embellishment pins yes I do make them they're a lot of fun and look cute. I'll post a card next week which I made for my older sisters special birthday. My husband has gone to Australia for conference this weekend and took her card and present with him. I made a box for the card and made him put it in his suitcase not his briefcase his question was why? If it was in his brief case and goes through the metal detectors they would have taken the pin out could case harm to someone. Take care and enjoy your school holidays.
