I'm combining two challenges today.  Over on the Sketch Saturday blog, it's the fifth Saturday of the month so you can choose to use an older sketch from our archives.  I'm using the Bugaboo image: Stella Birthday One More Candle

HMW: Flashlights

Today on the Catch The Bug blog, we are celebrating Stupid Guy Thing Day (on the 22nd).  I'm not sure that it's specifically a "guy thing" but WE have a million flashlights around the house and I can tell you for certain that MANY of them have dead batteries!  How do I know?  Well, our power went out last night for a few hours and we were stumbling around initially looking for flashlights!!

Eventually the hubs ran an extension cord from his Prius and managed to get the necessary power for a lamp and his precious TV!  Heavens forbid that he should miss the recording of his shows!!  I DID think it was clever of him to figure out how to get the car to generate power for us.

My card features one of my favorite guys ... Gus.  This image is called Gus Tidbits Flashlight and is available in the Bugaboo shop.

TMS 458

I've been wanting to use this image for awhile now.  He's from the "Les Jungles" set from Katzelkrat. Isn't he hilarious?!!  There are 6 animals in the set but the giraffe and the elephant are my favorites!  The inside says, "Maybe Swearing Will Help?"  I have a loved one going through some troubles and I think this card will be perfect for her.

I'm using the sketch from the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog.  I love the simple sketches that allow the images to shine; I just rotated the sketch to fit my wonderful giraffe.

I'm also joining in the "Odd Animals" challenge over on the Art Impression blog.  The only animals I have of AI's are cats and dogs and even though they are wearing clothes ... I don't think they qualify as "odd."  This guy definitely does!

OBG: Goofy Snowmen

I am slowly losing my mind.

I made this card and then spent some time wondering why ... was it for a sketch challenge, or a color challenge or just because I need a billion Christmas cards to send out?  Turns out I made it for the Oldie But Goodie challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog!

I stand by my earlier statement ... I am slowly losing my mind!   The image I used on my card is part of the Goofy Snowmen set.  There are so many darling images in this set!
