OWH: Doodle Pantry Sponsorship

I have to admit ...

I had never heard of Operation Write Home (OWH).  But after spending 45 minutes perusing their site learning about glitter (bad) and sneeze (I don't do), I was sold on the idea.  I had never thought about sending cards to heroes over seas but what a fantastic idea!

Although I did make a card using their sketch, this card is staying home ... unfortunately it doesn't meet their size criteria.  I need to start printing my digis a bit smaller so I can send cards to OWH.  I will be making a similar card to send to MY hero in Afghanistan.  He probably needs a a few cards and I'll be tucking these in with his snacks.

This week OWH is sponsored by Doodle Pantry.  I used Laurie's "Petite Boutique."  This gorgeous digi comes with lots of sentiments and several sheets of beautiful digital papers.  I used the colored digi.  So quick to make a card with these.  Right now, you can get her "Cute Cake" digi FREE with any purchase.  Hurry over, you only have until April 24th to get both sets at the reduced price.

  1. Your card is beautiful. Someone is going to love it. Beautiful colors and cheerful. When I belonged to Wish Rak we sent boxes of cards overseas to the soldiers. In Afghanistan and other places there are no PX's or places for them to buy cards.

  2. Great take on the sketch, Joanna. I love Laurie's floral images and this bouquet is a beauty.

  3. I love your green paper layers! It makes that gorgeous bouquet just pop right off the page!

  4. LOVE the dots and stripes together! This is such a classic and clean card! LOVE it! :) HUGS and have a great rest of the week! Mynn xx

  5. Lovely card and the green background seems to really make the bouquet 'pop'! Fab take on the sketch!

  6. I love the flowers and really like how you used black as your frame. It pops the flowers very nicely!
