SSW229: Bugaboo

Sometimes I feel like my dog is Glenn Close.  Not because she is an award-winning actress (I should be so lucky ... we'd be in the money with a talking dog) but because of the scene in the movie Fatal Attraction when Glenn Close says,

"Well, what am I supposed to do?  ....  I'm not gonna be
           ignored, Dan!"

We've just had an "I'm not going to be ignored" moment when she came into my craft room with the remainants of a turkey decoration in her mouth.  Apparently the only way she could get me to take her on a walk was to destroy a decoration that my eldest made when he was five.  "Get the leash lady or the scarecrow gets it next."  I'm taking a deep breath ... all the pieces from the turkey are still intact, minus a few buttons in her tummy no doubt.  And like the bionic man, we can rebuild him ... the best news of the day is this, Holli will NOT be a puppy forever.

In other news, it's Wednesday and that means the fun people over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday have another sketch challenge for you.  Arlana created this week's sketch and it's a fun one!

Our sponsor is none other than the fabulous Jodi from Bugaboo Stamps.  I used her super fantastic "Mustache Guy".  I loved the Dr. Seuss look to him (plus I'm always late for things so I thought he was terribly appropriate for me!)  We'd love to see you play along with us the week.  Don't forget to comment on the blog so you are eligible for the prize this week: 7 digi stamps from her store - a prize that values $21 in free images!

  3. I had to smile about your puppy story too. That is why I don't have a dog I guess. I wish I could get one totally trained and then, maybe.... Your card is so stinkin cute! Love the sentiment. With mustashes so in, this is perfect! Have a wonderful rest of the week.

  4. I love your card this week! Such a fun card, with the image and saying. My Guinness is the male version of GC in that movie. We went to Church this morning and came back to a mess...nail files, chap stick and something else that I am not sure what it was. He was mad we left with out him. Bad part it is going on 4 years and I thought it would stop. Now he has to go in the kennel when I go to work and I going to feel bad. They just want attention. Earlie this week he had fun with 3 skeins of yarn that I have started to make scarfs out of. Took him for a long walk today and I hope this helps.

  5. Hi Joanna I love your card it's so much fun and your design papers are so perfect. Love your dog, we don't have a dog but when I came back from overseas my studmuffin cat wouldn't speak to me for 3 days turned his back on me and sulked. He forgot one day when I called his name out he turned and looked at me and then thought I'm not speaking to her and turned is back on me as quickly and walked off. He now loves his mummy again. But wasn't happy that I went to the beach house in the weekend and left him at home with hubby. Take care and have a great week.
