SSW220: DigiStamp Boutique

Yay, it's Wednesday!

That means it's time for another challenge from the folks over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  This week we are sponsored by Sally-Ann and the Digistamp Boutique.  I used her darling Maisey Starts School.  I was inspired because ... yep, you guessed it, we've started school over here (Yay!)  The boys are going to a new school since we moved.  The school focuses on the Arts so the kids will have classes in Art, Music and Drama.  I think my kids will like it.  The school is quite beautiful; I hafta admit that I was a bit stunned to see that they have a baby grand piano under a crystal chandelier in the lobby!!

Change is hard for everyone but my oldest is on the spectrum and so change is excruciating for him.  We've had several nights of getting up with him because he has "worries."   The best thing for him is to make a plan and then repeat the plan over and over again.  I'm sure that he will be fine at the new school but ... it's hard for me to be "up and at 'em" when I've had less than 5 hours of sleep.  :-)

This week's prize  for the winner is six (yes, SIX) free images from the Sally-Ann's shop so head on over to the Sweet Sketch blog and upload YOUR creation.   Don't forget to comment so that you can win.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Order of the Opus Gluei: The Start of Something Big (school)
One Stitch at a Time: School
Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog: Girls, Girls, Girls
Creative Inspiration Paint: Back to School

  7. Hi Joanna I do love your card this week, such a perfect back to school image and sentiment. Love your wonderful bright colours and the ruler. I do hope your boys a settling in well at their new school, nothing more worrying for us mums I know what it's like with both of mine away at Boarding School. My eldest turns 14 on Tuesday and Ryan turned 12 last month. We always worry about our children and guess we will until the day we die. Give them at least a month to settle in and make new friends they'll be right and then you'll wonder why you had sleepless nights and worried about them. If they haven't settle after a month go a see their teachers and don't leave it too late. I'll be thinking of you. Wishing you a lovely weekend.
    Hugs

  8. A piano and chandelier? Wow! That sounds amazing, and a very special place for your kids to be. I can remember being just like that when I was a kid, always worrying. Your card is perfect for back to school, and that ribbon is just awesome!
