Catch The Bug Saturday Challenge
It's time for another Saturday Challenge over on the Catch The Bug blog. Using the photo, we'd like you to make a card (or anything, really) that is inspired by it.
I used the colors in the photo: blue, green and yellowy-orange as well as the house itself. Around here, the word house is synonymous with "chores!"
No one likes to mow the lawn and each week we have a game of "not it!" to decide who gets stuck doing it. We hate it so much that I am determined to buy a John Deere riding mower when I amass enough money. (Sigh). I can not wait!
So I thought that the Bugaboo image Stella Summer Block Lawnmower was especially appropriate for my card! Makes me laugh every time!
I used the sketch over on the Paper Play Sketches site. It was fun and certainly fit the photo.
Come join the fun!

That Magical Substance ... Coffee
It's Oldie But Goodie day over on the Catch The Bug site and do I have a good one to share with you today. Most of my friends and family members know that I like a good latte ... as does Stella here. I'm using the set: Stella Peeker: Magical Substance.
My kids sure know that coffee is a magical substance that has Mom saying, "Good Morning Honey!" instead of "Leave Me Alone." I'd like to take credit for that phrase but it's actually the phrase that Jodie came up to go with this darling set!
I'm using the sketch over on the Try Stamping On A Tuesday site. I'm done with my Halloween cards so I did not use their optional "Halloween" theme.
I'm also joining in the "Anything Goes" fun on the Crafty Sentiments and the "That's Sketchy" theme on the Shopping Our Stash blog.

Creating A Slider Card With A Digi?!!
Good morning! Its the last Wednesday of the month (Yikes, where is this year going?!!) This means that it is time for a tutorial over on the Catch the Bug blog.
I absolutely LOVE interactive cards but, I've never tried to do one with a digital stamp. The best part of digi stamps are their reasonable prices, rapid availability, and versatility so why COULDN'T you make interactive cards with them? The short answer is ... yes, you can! And ... in a few short steps, I'm going to show you just how easy it is.
Step One:
Print all the phrases and images needed. I wanted my car to drive in the direction of the opening of my card so I rotated the image in my software prior to printing. I probably should tell you that I'm making this card for my oldest son who has all As at this point in the academic year. We are so proud of all his hard work. This, coupled with the fact that he will be starting his driver's training soon, is why I wanted to use the image that I chose. I'm using the Bugaboo image: Guy - Car and computer generated phrases
Step Two:
I colored my image and started cutting all my layers. I thought that I would need to use an Exact-o blade to cut it out, but ended up just using scissors. I did have to lose the cute puffs of exhaust as well as his antenna but it couldn't be helped.
Step Three:
I used a die to create a text box but you could just cut a rectangular shape. The box just needs to be large enough to show your sentiment. I wasn't paying close attention here (do you see my mistake?)
Yep ... I cut off my tree top. I hate when I make goofy errors but in the grand scheme of things, this is an easy fix.
Step Four:
I glued my (corrected) scenery to my card base and added the "kickstands" to the image. This will allow me to attach the car to the slider pull. The only thing that you need to keep in mind at this stage is making certain that the pull moves easily in its channel. I didn't use anti-static powder and probably should have.
It stuck a bit initially. I used one layer of tape on the channel, doubled up my layers of tape on the kickstands and then tripled my tape for the final layer. I just wanted to make sure that the image had room to slide.
Step Five:
The last bits were adding a road in and little decorative things to finish off the card (clouds, grass and flowers -- to cover up the smudge of something that ended up on the grass)
I really like how my card turned out and will definitely do it again! I hope you are inspired to give it a try!!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!
We are halfway to aweekend that I am sooo looking forward to. This is my weekend to do AB-SO-LUUUTLY nothing. I repeat, we have nothing planned (insert semi-crazed giggle here). I wonder how long THAT will last!
Over on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog there is a new sketch to challenge you. We are featuring Sally-Ann Hancock from Digistamp Boutique as our sponsor. Our winner will receive a £10 voucher to her store...Yippee! I used her new image: Birds of a Feather to create my card. There are so many cute images in this set.
I hope you are inspired to join in the fun this fortnight.

Gerda October
I'm nearly done with all my 'must-make" cards. I have one last one and then I will be free to make anything (or maybe sit on my bootay and binge-watch something on Netflix!)
But this little cutie was left on my "to-do" list. He is the October image from Gerda Steiner. He was easy to use. I DID have to google raccoon images (apparently I have no idea what color they are!!) Using this image, I will get next month's image for free!
I'm using the sketch from The Paper Player site. I had to leave off the text box on the side because I kind of ran out of room. My raccoon is a tad too big. It still turned out cute.

Bugaboo New Release
I am SO excited to announce that I've been chosen as Guest Designer for Bugaboo Stamps. Yay. I've loved Jodie's images for so long; this is kind of a dream come true. My first card uses the new image Sign It Snowman. I have thing for snowman images so it wasn't difficult using this little cutie.
I'm joining in the following challenges:
Merry Monday Christmas Challenge - Use an ornament (my "o" is an ornament)
Coloring in Scrapland - Tic-Tac-Toe (I'm doing the center row: Ribbon, Die and Bright - my paper is super shiny)
I hope that you will drop on by the Catch the Bug blog, and admire the rest of the team's gorgeous creations.

Wishing "Shoe" Well
Is this guy not a riot?!! I love his kick-y boots and that cheesy grin (plus the wobble I put on his back) ... and suddenly he is just the perfect image!! I also wanted to show that "Chet" wasn't afraid to show his softer side too, so he's got a pink background.
I'm joining in the wiggle-wobble challenge over on the Art Impression blog.

Howl-A-Ween
I gotta admit ... I don't ever get tired of making Halloween cards. Halloween is one of my very favorite holidays.
Which is why I was so sad when my boys told me that they don't want to Trick Or Treat this year. What?!! (insert boo-boo face here) There is still time for them to change their minds but I WILL try to respect their decision. Maybe we can have a big bonfire and cook s'mores and hand out candy ... that will be fun too, I suppose!
This cute little mummy is a Whipper Snapper Design stamp and I'm using the sketch from the Cheerful Sketches Challenge blog.
My second card was more of a challenge. The Catch The Bug site had a recipe: 1 Layer of Paper, 1 Word Sentiment and 1 Embellishment. Yikes! Sooo not my "thang" which is why it was so intriguing!!
I used the Dracula BobbleHead image from Bugaboo and then ... used my one embellishment to make him an actual bobble head (I'm not counting the crystal effects or glitter as an embellishment, just saying!). His head wobbles!! This simple card is seriously cute!
I'm also joining the "Anything Goes" theme over on the QKR Stampede site.
