Gerda Steiner August
Since I broke the vacuum this afternoon … I decided to carpe diem and run to the art studio to work on the Gerda Steiner Progressive challenge. How cute is this image? I immediately thought: Christmas card when I saw this little cutie.
Junior Engineer tells me that I "shouldn't have forced" the bag-less canister back on to the vacuum. I'm quite certain that I did INDEED break something but when Senior Engineer gets home, he will no doubt confirm the demise of the Dyson, and reiterate the "don't force things" comment.
Frankly, I don't think I'm responsible enough to operate this expensive piece of machinery. Someone else probably ought to take care of the carpets from now on.
I'm using the sketch over at Sketch Saturday. I rotated it to fit my image. I'm also using the "Purple Rain" theme over on Dragonfly Journeys (and thank you VERY much Jeannie, now I have that song stuck in my head!)

ReplyDeleteWell done you for seeing this cutie as a potential Christmas card. You have coloured it beautifully and it looks so pretty with your paper choices and perfect sentiment too. Thank you for joining in the fun at Sketch Saturday. Hugs, Lesley
ReplyDeleteThis is super sweet, Joanna and i like how you´ve used your white gel pen !
ReplyDeleteCute cute image, love that you have turned it into a christmas card. Oh dear about your Dyson, but I agree, someone better qualified had better use that technology from now on :) Thanks for playing along with Sketch Saturday this week, Niki xx
ReplyDeleteHi Joanna! Pur-ple Rain, Pur-ple Raaaaiinnn....! Thanks so much for joining my challenge with this little cutie. I'm glad the Dyson gave you some time to do it, but I hope they get it fixed for you too. Take care girlie!
