DP: S'mores

The boys and I went on a hike a few days ago and when we returned, we popped some marshmallows in the microwave and ... boom, instant s'mores.  OK, they don't have the same charcoal flavor as the real ones do but they were met with enthusiasm by the young-uns!

About the only thing I can eat are the graham crackers (and then only with careful bolusing) Curse you diabetes!  One time I was low, and decided to eat a s'more to raise my blood sugar.  I went from 39 (oops, a tad low) to 254 in an hour.  Not really a good option for me to eat at ANY time!

BUT, I can use this cute set from Doodle Pantry without any damage to my diabetes!  This month those who post a card, using a Doodle Pantry image, to the Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge Blog will receive this very set, "S'more Please," for free.  In addition,  participants will be entered into the drawing for a $15 gift certificate to be spent in the Doodle Pantry shop.

I used the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  It was a fun sketch.  I liked the swirls so much that I decided to leave off the flowers.

  1. Cute cute cute! I've never eaten a smore. I'm impressed that you could get the boys to TAKE a hike. Microwave is almost instant gratification.

  5. I soooo hear you on the diabetes - Canadian measurements are done differently but my similar experience had me going from a low of 2.9 to 16. (The testing kit booklet says to go to the emergency room for under 3 or over 13). No more eating Halloween candy for me, lol! This is adorably sweet and SAFE for us! I'm so glad you came to play at TMS - your card will be featured on our Facebook page today: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tuesday-Morning-Sketches/165327566909261?ref=hl
