I'm back!
After taking almost a month off from the Design Team, I'm finally ready to start being creative again. This week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday we are celebrating the end of January with a bang. We have a great new sketch and a fantastic sponsor.
Birdie Brown is our sponsor this week. I'm using her "Robot with a Balloon" digi. There are sooo many wonderful images in her etsy shop that it was hard to choose just one.
The sketch was fun with lots of rounded corners. You may have noticed that some of my corners are not completely rounded ... I have an explanation and her name is Holli!
My 6 month old puppy loves to chew. I started rounding my corners on my card and then the phone rang. I think I must have knocked the rounder on the floor because when I got back ... it was toast!
She managed to chew the outside off the cutting part and when I tried to make it work (I used a glue dot to put the pieces together - just to tide me over 'til I could get it another later this week) I cut my finger. Ouch. I can not WAIT until her destruction phase is over.
But she's cute so I guess that we will keep her!
Joanna, what a fun card. The robot looks sweet and the bright colors fits perfect.
ReplyDeleteWow, you have your hands full with Holli, hm ? Nasty, sweet dog :-)
Oh, the joys of having a puppy.. That is why I don't have one. He sure is cute though. I wanted to use this robot. Youhave really made it come to life. I love the balloon and how you popped it. Your papers, colors and coloring really make your card. the star embellishments are a perfect addition. I adore it!!
ReplyDeletehave a great week.
Hugs, Nancy
Joanna, Welcome back! We missed you at SSW. That sweet puppy is just too, too cute! I do not think she could rip that punch apart and be so destructive....NOT! LOL. Just chased my 3 year old puppy this morning because he grabbed one of my daughters hair ties and was eating it. I practically reached down his throat to retrieve the hair tie. Goofy dogs.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so super cute. Love th star paper is so perfect with the cute robot image, he looks already to party. Have a super week. Hugs, Heide
This is cute and fun! Love those papers, so perfect with the robot! So glad to see you crafting again. You did a fantastic job on your card.
ReplyDeleteHe looks so innocent in the picture... I have one of those "puppies" in a Boxer suit - watch out craft supplies... Mine loves Glue Dots!! Glad to have you back!! Love your card - the papers are AWESOME and the image is so FUN!!

Joanna, I love your card. I think the colours are amazing. Sorry your corner rounder got chewed. Hope you replace it soon. Makes me glad I don't have pets (yet - I can't wait to be at home enough to get a dog). Hope you have a good week. Holly x
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Joanna I can so relate to a chewing puppy! I have a 7 month old as well and just when I think I have puppy-proofed everything he finds something I didn't think he'd be interested in! Your card turned out adorable and the stars and papers work perfectly with him. You had asked about the button on my card this week and yes it is a die cut. It's from Sizzix and it's one of the little Sizzlits with 3 different size buttons. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletePeace & Luv,
Jeannie
