CCC: Bugaboo-Christmas

Welcome back my friends.  It's Tuesday and that means it's time for another challenge over at Creative Card Crew.  This time we want you to channel your inner child and make a Christmas card.

We are sponsored by the amazing Bugaboo Digital Stamps so thinking about Christmas was sooper-dooper easy.  They generously let me pick out an image and I chose Stella.  But then I went back and bought Ruby (and several more.)   I love the humor in these images.

So if you feel intrigued by the thought of Santa, snow and everything Christmas-sy, come on over to the Crew and enter your card.  YOU might win 7 digital images!

Challenges entered:
Winter Wonderland: Red and Green
Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog: Christmas in August

Stamps: Bugaboo images
Accessories: Nestibilities, MS punch

CCC: Maps/Newsprint/Sheet Music/Script

Good Tuesday to YOU!

It's time for another Creative Card Crew challenge.  This time we want you to use a map, newspaper, music or script somewhere on your card.

I had to laugh, because as soon as I read what the challenge was, I remembered THIS (pointing to the map DP) paper and wanted to use it.  I think I bought it 8 or 9 years ago to scrap my honeymoon album.  I find it stunning that I can remember that I own this paper yet can't remember names, appointments or my PIN number for the ATM machine to save my life.  My memory is TRULY pathetic.  I'm a little bummed that the paper is sideways but I had such a small amount left, and I was kinda set on my sketch at this point; it would only work sideways.

This week we are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and a $20 gift certificate at the store will be awarded to the winner.  Pretty cool.  So hurry over to the blog and post your photo.

Preparing My August Shower kit

I try to make a card from every kit that I make.  Usually it shows me that I need to put in more paper or something to make it pop.  Most times, I send the card to whomever is getting the kit ... sometimes (grin) I like the card too much to part with, and I keep it.

I made a whole kit with the theme of coffee.  Jessica likes to drink it, and ... well, it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Honestly, coffee is the LAST thing on my mind right now.  It is crazy hot here and I ... am seriously sunburned from our time at the pool yesterday.  Today I have another whole day at the park, mini golf course, and then football practice to look forward to.  I find myself yearning for the cooler days of fall and maybe a little Mommy time ... by myself.

Cassie's Going Back to School

I desperately need to clean my house ... so naturally,  I decided I should share the card I made for my niece instead.  Bleah.  I really hate cleaning.

It's hard to believe that kids are going back to school already.  Thankfully we still have two weeks left of summer.  We have nothing planned for our last days, just sleeping in and maybe some visits to the pool.

I'm 2 weeks behind in my Mojo Monday sketches.  I liked this one but DH declared it was too busy.  "There are too many flippy things" he said, pulling on the tabs.   Husbands!

"Baseball Been Berry Berry Good to Me"

Does anyone remember this quote or am I too ancient?  If you watched Saturday Night Live in the seventies, you probably remember Garrett Morris' portrayal of Chico, the baseball player from the Mets (I think).  It wasn't terribly politically correct, but funny anyway.

But I digress.  I wanted to show you the two cards I made for the coaches of TJ's baseball team.  Every year we give gift certificates and thank you cards at the end of the season.  This year I ended up on the trophy, the end of the year party, AND the coaches gift committees (frowning) ... not sure how THAT happened (Ken would probably say that I can't say "no" ... and he'd be right)

Of course since our party is at a park in a few minutes, the sky has suddenly opened up and it is POURING rain.  We can't win!

The last picture I wanted to share was Tee in his uniform.  He was being a bit of a stinker, running far away and then running way, way, WAYYY too close.  I snapped this one when he was practically in my lap.  Goofy kid has sooo much energy right before the games.

Challenges: Paper Pretties: 2 kinds of DP
